What hopefully is good news for driver Eddie Davis came when the cause of his serious pain following a racing accident last spring at Harrington was finally identified as a chip in his ninth vertebra. Meanwhile, Davis's son, Allan, also injured in a racing accident at Dover Downs, is recovering from broken bones in his hand and arm.
Herve Filion, the all-time winningest driver in North American history, is also on the shelf. Filion, who races at Dover Downs during the winter season, sustained a broken hand in a racing accident at Pocono Downs. He will also undergo rotator cuff surgery next week. (with files from Dover)
