November 06, 2005 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Three-year-old pacing fillies competed in a driving rain at Balmoral Park Saturday night to qualify for the American-National. The winners were Up Front Dragonfly and Do Me Goodl.

Up Front Dragonfly started from post eight and wired the field in 1:54.4. Kiss Of Life finished second after starting from the rail while Choctat Milk was third.

The first five finishers advanced. Jugette heat winner Western Cruise was fifth and did not qualify.

The second elim went to Do Me Good, who also wired the field. The Michigan filly turned back a challenge from betting favorite Copywriter to win in 1:54.3.

Calling Card finished second, Bound For Glory was third and Copywriter faded to fifth, but managed to advance.
