One of only three fillies in the $30,000 3-year-old Open Trot on Friday the 13th at the Meadowlands, Maryanne K won in 1:53.4. Racing against five Hambletonian eligibles the Mike Lachance driven filly trotted home in :27.4 to win her third of the year in a new lifetime best.
Taking cover after the :55.3 half Maryanne K picked up the speed halfway down the stretch after a 1:25.2 third quarter. Hambletonian-eligibles Standpoint, trained and driven by Trond Smedshammer, and Around and Over driven by Dave Miller finished second and third respectively.
Trained by Ron Gurfein for owner Ira Kristel of New York, Maryanne K paid $35.20, $11.40 and $6.80.
