Mezuzah Hanover, a Mcardle filly from world champion Miss Easy topped the New Jersey Classic Yearling Sale Sunday, bringing a bid of $90,000 from John Canulliere of East Orange, N.J.

Conducted by the Garden State Horse Sales Company, the sale sold 227 yearlings for a gross of $2,237,300 and an average of $9,856, which was a decline of 1.8 percent from last year’s sale when 269 yearlings went through the sales ring.

The top selling trotter in the sale was Miss Callie, a daughter of Self Possessed, who brought a $45,000 bid from Antoinette Nigito of Jobstown, N.J.
