The South Florida Sunshine Sale of 2-year-olds in training was held Sunday at the South Florida Trotting Center near West Palm Beach, and a filly by Bettor's Delight brought the top price, fetching a bid of $90,000 from trainer Ross Croghan.
The filly, named Mintjulep Bluechip, was sold in last fall's Lexington Selected Sale and brought a bid of $65,000. Mintjulep Bluechip is the first foal of BJ's Sunshine p,5, 1:51.4, a daughter of Artsplace.
Croghan also had a final bid of $54,000 on the Art Major filly Yankee Celebration.
Another high price was the $42,000 bid for the Artsplace colt Come Together. Trainer Monte Gelrod signed the sales slip for the colt.
