Trainer Jimmy Takter told harnessracing.com Tuesday morning that he and owners Bob and David Anderson have decided to start Pampered Princess in Saturday’s $600,000(est) Kentucky Futurity against the colts at The Red Mile and pass on Friday’s Filly Futurity.

“David and Bob Anderson made the decision to go in the Futurity. They want to go against the boys,” trainer Jimmy Takter told harnessracing.com. “She came out of her (Bluegrass) race very good.”

Pampered Princess won her Bluegrass division last Friday at The Red Mile in 1:53. It was her first start against her own division after racing in both the Hambletonian and Canadian Trotting Classic against the males.

Pampered Princess won her Hambo elim and then she could not overcome a tough, first-over trip in the final against Donato Hanover. She then finished second in her Trotting Classic elim to Val Taurus before coming back and against settling for runner-up honors behind Donato Hanover in the final.

Overall, Pampered Princess has won six of 10 starts this year, including the $350,000 Delvin Miller Memorial and $499,892 Elegantimage.
