Charged Freight pulled the pocket early but had plenty of trot left for the lane as she captured the $31,000 final of the Chartiers Township Trot for 3-year-old fillies on Thursday at The Meadows. The daughter of SJ's Photo scored in a career-best 1:57.4, a head better than her entrymate, AJ's Baby. Elizabeth Lane, who cut the mile, finished third by 2 1/4 lengths. Ray Paver drove Charged Freight and trains both parts of the entry, which was hammered down to 1-5 in the wagering. After beginning her career with three straight losses, Charged Freight has won five of her last six starts for owner Samuel A. Raneri III. (The Meadows)
