Snow White set a new world record for 2-year-old trotters Tuesday afternoon at The Red Mile, easily scoring a 1:52.4 victory in her $81,250 International Stallion Stake division. The time shattered the previous mark for freshman filly trotters of 1:54.2 set by Possess The Magic and equaled by Snow White in her previous win in the Oakville final at Mohawk.

Driver John Campbell got away sixth with Snow White and after waiting patiently down the backstretch as first-half fractions of :28.3 and :56 were posted. Campbell tipped Snow White heading into the final turn and she accelerated with a flourish as she surged to the lead by the 1:24.3 three-quarters. From there she drew away from her competition as she went on to obliterate the world mark by nearly two seconds.

Campbell said afterward that he never even pulled Snow White's earplugs as she trotted to her ninth win in 10 starts this year, increasing her earnings to more than $595,000.

"She goes along pretty good without (the earplugs) pulled and I was sure she was right at :53 when I come off the turn for home. So there was no need to," said Campbell. "She was actually well within herself; she was pricking her ears right down to the wire. She's just a very special filly."

Snow White, a daughter of Self Possessed, is trained by Kevin Lare and owned by the North Street Stable and Harness The Power.

The other ISS splits for freshman filly trotters went to No Pain No Gain (David Miller, 1:56); Timeless Winner (Yannick Gingras, 1:55.1); and Poster Pin Up (Trond Smedshammer, 1:56.3).
