Howard Parker put on a driving performance for the fans on Saturday night at Tioga Downs, making his way to the winner’s circle five times on the night’s 10-race card. The checks are all so important as the cutoff date for the leading money-winning driver at Tioga Downs for the second annual Drivers Championship is Sunday, July 13. Jim Morrill Jr. is currently in second, but will only have four days of racing left to make up any ground. Parker teamed up with trainer Paul Szalay Jr. for three wins (Truscott Steel A, PH Cardshark and Fox Valley Largo), while Rita Shock (Exponential) and Jake Huff (Sargent Major) completed the five-bagger. Mostly Hanover and Bruce Aldrich Jr. produced the fastest mile of the night for trainer Kevin Colston in 1:53.4. The 7-year-old gelding by No Nukes established a new lifetime mark with the pillar to post victory for the Elia Stable. (Tioga Downs)
