Fivedollarsforsox upsets in Delaware trot

Fivedollarsforsox, an 8-1 shot driven by George Dennis, scored a 1:58 victory over a "sloppy" track on Thursdayin the $15,500 feature trot at Dover Downs.

Owned by Ask W Stables and trainer-driver Dennis and Tina Dennis, Fivedollarsforsox, a SJ's Caviar-Hurricane Bambi gelding, chalked up his fourth win of the season and $44,250 in purses. DI Blast (Mike Cole) finished second with Awesome Wonder (Bob Shahan) third. Dennis completed the card with his second win.

Maheer Lord N, a 15-1 shot, battled it out with Holy Moses (Tim Tetrick) for a win by a head in the a $20,000 claiming pace. Craig Prettyman owns the Holmes Hanover gelding trained by Walter Callahan and driven to victory by Ross Wolfenden, one of his two wins. Long Life (Dennis) was the show finisher.

Wolfenden's other victory came guiding Mac Only Bill (Only Mine-Angelic Angel) to a 1:54.2 triumph in a $15,000 claimer. Seebers (Eddie Davis Jr.) and Scootin Scholar (Brandon Givens) were second and third. It was trainer Joe Hundertpfund's second win on the program.

In a $15,000 Delaware claiming pace, trainer David Rearic's Mic Mac Beau (Badlands Hanover-Call Your Shot) rolled to a 1:54.1 success with Jonathan Roberts in the bike. Winslow Chill (Tetrick) was runner-up. Joey Bravo (Corey Callahan) took third.

Greg Davis' Spat One gave Jim Morand his second winning drive in a $15,000 claiming allowance trot. The veteran Malabar Man-Probot gelding was chased home by Hide In Your Shell (Steve Warrington). Miss Snippy Queen (Art Stafford Jr.) was the third horse. (Dover Downs)
