Flo Found George started another winning streak with a handy score in the Simcoe Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on Sunday night at Mohawk. The daughter of Dream Away--Cold And Clear strolled away to a clear lead through quarter-mile fractions of :27.3, :56.1 and 1:24. and finished with a :28 final quarter-mile and defeated Even Now in 1:52.4.

“I had pretty easy fractions,” driver Jack Moiseyev said. “Drawing the rail really helped, as she can leave really fast.”

Flo Found George won for the seventh time in 14 starts and was coming off a nose victory in the Fan Hanover Consolation on Aug. 26.

“I thought I was beat last week but every time I yelled at her she kept digging in, so I knew she was game after last week,” Moiseyev said.

Frank Colville trains Flo Found George for the Boof Stable of Howell, N.J. and Wire to Wire Enterprises of Freehold, N.J.

The second division of the Simcoe Stakes, raced for $128,026 (C), was won by Bob Anderson’s West Side Glory (Western Ideal--Doc’s Girl), who swept from fourth at the top of the stretch to win in 1:53.4. Driven by Mark MacDonald, the winner paid $21.70 as she defeated Stonebridge Prima and Liberated Leah. The favorite, In Trepid Water, cut the two middle fractions but tired and finished sixth. (WEG)
