The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of Florida, Inc. (SPHOFL) and member Tina Bombardo have announced that two Standardbred mares have received multiple awards this year from the U.S. Dressage Federation (USDF). Both horses were participants in the 2008 USDF/Adequan All-Breed Award Program.
The organization’s 10-year-old ambassador horse Sea The Gray (Laag--Arbiter), won the Training Level Award with a median score of 62.9 percent, and Bombardo’s 13-year-old Whiz Bang (Say Kash--Caprene Kash) took home the award in the First Level Division with a median score of 60.0 percent, which was a follow up to her 2007 Training Level win.
The mares are trained and were ridden in competitions by Heather Caudill, the owner of Olympus Sport Horses, located in Wildwood,
The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of Florida hopes, as more people learn about the accomplishments of these Standardbreds in the dressage ring, that they will take notice that the breed is very competitive and consider the breed when looking for a new horse.
