Four for Forte at Mighty M

Quietly, but consistently, Mike Forte continues to win races at Monticello Raceway as on Thursday he reined four winners on the 10-race card.

Forte's first triumph came in race number two when he guided Barbara Merton’s trotter Mistress Oftheball to a 2:04.3 victory. Forte then won the fourth race trot with Lori Ann Ramsay’s good-looking 3-year-old daughter of Malabar Man Allie Jay in a 2:03.3 clocking from post eight. He then came right back in the next race to score a 1:58.4 triumph behind Elisha Lafreniere’s Cloudy Heights N.

Forte capped his afternoon assault with a 1:58.3 victory with Frank Yanoti and John Lopresto’s Georgie’s Orgy.

The four victories on Thursday raised Forte’s seasonal output at the Mighty M to 61 which ranks him seventh best on the local leaderboard. Thus far in his career he has driven 2,562 winners. (Monticello)
