Four Starz Horndog and Tammibest captured the co-featured races on Wednesday evening at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

Driven by Eric Goodell and trained by Carmine Fusco, Four Starz Horndog necked out Hatsaway (Andrew McCarthy) at the wire. The time of the mile was 1:52.3 for the 4-year-old Four Starzzz Shark mare.

Four Starz Horndog was dropping down from Open Handicap company for fillies and mares. Wednesday’s race was for non-winners of $8,550 in their last five starts or nine extended pari-mutuel races life. The win was the fourth in 10 starts in 2010 for Four Starz Horndog.

Third in the race was Faith Ann (Kevin Sizer), who set the pace.

Tammibest, a 5-year-old Cammibest mare driven by Jim Morrill Jr., won with a second-over trip behind Princess Character (Joe Pavia Jr.).

The two mares battled coming down the stretch, with Tammibest winning by three-quarters of a length over Princess Character with the timer reading 1:52.4 in the $20,000 claiming race for fillies and mares. My Fanny (Goodell) was third.

This marked the third victory in 17 starts for Tammibest, trained by Nick Surick.

Morrill collected five wins on the 16-race card, and inched closer to leading driver George Napolitano Jr., who has 151 wins at Pocono this year. (Pocono)
