Four Starz Sue romped to a win, his second straight, in Friday night’s featured Open Handicap Pace at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The race carried a purse of $25,000. Four Starz Sue, trained by Carmine Fusco and driven by Jim Morrill Jr., had little trouble with the finest pacers on the Pocono grounds, as he built up a huge lead as the 8-5 favorite and coasted home to a win by 4 1/2 lengths, in 1:50:4, the fastest time at Pocono at the 2009 meet. Monet CC rallied for second while Frankyluvsmeatballs picked up third. The win was the second straight in the class for the 6-year-old gelding sired by The Panderosa. Owned by Four Starzzzz Stable of Hauppage, N.Y., Four Starz Sue won for the 21st time in his career and pushed his lifetime earnings over $353,000. (Pocono Downs)
