French horse owner Alec Wildenstein, who campaigned such notable trotters as Kaisy Dream, Kesaco Phedo and Jardy, the winner of the Prix de Paris, died Monday (Feb. 18) after a long illness at age 67, Paris Turf reported on its website.
Wildenstein, the son of the late well-known owner Daniel Wildenstein, professed a love for the trotting horse, but also owned many successful Thoroughbreds. Daniel Wildenstein employed Jean Pierre Dubois to train many of his top trotters, but Alec Wildenstein parted ways with Dubois after his father's death.
