Buvetier d'Aunou, a product of French horseman J. P. Dubois mixing U.S. and French blood, died Thursday in France at age 22. He was a son of Royal Prestige and the French mare Nesmile, whose daughter produced the top French horse Love You.
Buvetier d'Aunou was the leading sire in France in 2000. His most accomplished offspring include Ganymede, who won the Oslo Grand Prix, Gobernador, who captured the Prix de France, Prix de Paris and Criterium de Vitesse de la Cote d'Azur, and Juliana Star. In the recent Prix d'Amerique his son Oasis Gede competed in the race.
