IPO Blue Chip trotted to the fastest victory of three New Jersey Sire Stakes (NJSS) divisions for 2-year-old fillies Wednesday night at the Meadowlands, crossing the wire in 1:56.4 for driver Andy Miller. Will Of A Woman and Croquet Style captured the other splits on the program that also featured two NJSS divisions for freshman filly pacers.

IPO Blue Chip, a daughter of Yankee Glide trained by Julie Miller, reached the finish line a half-length ahead of a late-rallying Bar Slide and driver David Miller in the $33,600 contest. Religilous finished third for Brian Sears.

Rod Mitchell Inc. and Teresa Mitchell own IPO Blue Chip, who was a $27,000 yearling purchase.

Will Of A Woman led at every call to win the second $34,100 NJSS division for driver Mike Lachance in 1:59. Favored Reve Pride finished a neck back in second for Tim Tetrick, with the John Campbell-driven Lindys Two Step third for John Campbell.

Ron Gurfein trains the winning daughter of Muscles Yankee for breeder-owner Al Libfeld.

The third $34,100 division went to Croquet Style, who rallied from far back early for driver Tetrick to reach the wire a neck better than runner-up Sky High and George Brennan in 1:57.4. Glide By finished third for Jimmy Takter.

A daughter of Yankee Glide, Croquet Style is trained by Anette Lorentzon for owner ALC Stuteri Ab.

JK Sure I Can won the first $57,500 NJSS division for 2-year-old filly pacers with a 1:54.1 effort for driver Tetrick. JK Sure I Can followed cover and then was able to hold off an inside-rallying China Art and George Brennan by just a nose. One Last Kiss finished third for Ron Pierce.

Bred by Blue Chip Bloodstock and owned in partnership with 3 Brothers Stables, JK Sure I Can is trained by Linda Toscano. The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover won for the first time in three attempts.

David Miller directed By Your Side to a 1:54.1 win in the second $58,000 NJSS division. Miller moved the daughter of Western Ideal past the opening quarter and led the rest of the route to score by a neck over the Sears-driven Lady Ann Christine. Tetrick was behind the third-place finisher, Rock N Soul.

Trained by Joe Carluzzi, By Your Side is owned by Goldfinger Enterprises.
