Fabulous Kemp, a $220,000 yearling purchase last fall, made her lifetime debut a success, winning the first of three New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old filly trotters in 1:59.3 Thursday night at the Meadowlands.

With trainer Jimmy Takter in the bike, Fabulous Kemp went wire to wire, scoring a one-length victory over Ms Stone and Stephen Smith with Day Five and Jeff Gregory third.

Fabulous Kemp is the first record performer from Emilie Cas El 3, 1:57.1f ($245,199), a full sister to Andover Hall 3, 1:51.3 ($870,510), Angus Hall 3, 1:54.3 ($30,654) and Conway Hall 3, 1:53.4 ($818,884). Fabulous Kemp is owned by Zotobamo Ab (Stefan Balazsi and Thomas Moberg).

Also scoring in her career debut was Enjoy N My Lady, who was a 1:58.2 winner for Daniel Dube by 1 1/4 lengths over flight Surgeon and Mario Zuanetti. Birthday Girl and David Miller were third. The daughter of enjoy Lavec is a homebred owned by Robert Resenheim Stables and trained by Pascal Beaulieu.

Chez Lucie went wire to wire in her first start, scoring for David Miller by two lengths in 1:58.4 over High Sobriety and Gregory with Lady Marian and Ron Pierce third. The Malabar Man filly is owned by Paul Fontaine and Alfred Ross and trained by George Ducharme.
