Front-end wins at Dover

Breeze Hill Will and Kennywood used front speed to advantage scoring victories in the $25,000 Open and $21,000 Jr. Open trots respectively at Dover Downs on a rainy Wednesday.

Tim Tetrick moved Breeze Hill Will into the lead after the quarter and controlled the action from there en route to a 1:57.3 triumph in the feature race. It was Tetrick's third win and trainer Chuck Crissman's second on the program. The victory was the 12th of the season for the son of King Conch. Mighty Moses raced gamely for Jim Morand to finish second. Another Lindy closed along the passing lane for Brad Hanners to nip Put Them On Hold and Toby Lynch for third.

Kennywood, a mid-summer acquisition by Ken Wood and Henry King, won his second straight and third in four starts stepping up the Jr. Open level and scoring a wire-to-wire 1:57.2 victory in the $21,000 trot. Roger Plante was at the controls for trainer Eric Ell. Racsan Jenny, steered by Steve Warrington, closed strongly to finish second with Notorious Buck and Brad Hanners, had to settle for third place.
