Real Girl scored a career-best 1:53.4 victory and My Fave Wave equaled her mark of 1:54.2 in capturing their respective $25,000 third-leg divisions of Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2-year-old filly pacers at The Red Mile Friday night.

The 2-5 favored Real Girl cleared to the lead down the backstretch after following the cover of Clydes First Cam and then held off that one down the stretch after rebuffing the first-over challenge of Mind Boggling in the far turn. David Miller kept after Real Girl as she kept the Roger Cullipher-driven Clydes First Cam at bay to win for the fourth time in five starts. Mind Boggling and Tyler Stillings held for third.

A daughter of Real Desire, Real Girl is trained by Mark Harder for owners TLP Stable, Lamera and Loconte.

Marcus Johansson rallied My Fave Wave late to surge past a tiring leader Trinity Islands (Mickey McNichol) to win the second split. Brendan Johnson urged Cantor's Daughter to a second-place finish while the even-money choice Trinity Island had to settle for show.

Erv Miller trains My Fave Wave for owner-breeder Kentuckiana Racing Stable. She is a daughter of Jate Lobell out of the $869,000-winning mare Cheery Hello.
