ISOBA Executive Director John Cisna announced on Saturday the restoration of funding to the Illinois Standardbred Owners and Breeders Association by the State of Illinois, Department of Agriculture, Horse Racing Program. Those funds will be used to conduct ISOBA Summer Previews for Illinois conceived and foaled 2 and 3-year-old trotters and pacers.
Race events are scheduled for the Illinois State Fairgrounds mile track Saturday, June 12, 19 and 26. Post times for those events is 12 noon. The entry box closes at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays prior to each event. All events are open to the public, and there is no charge for admission.
Amateur driving races sponsored by the Mid-Western Amateur Driving Association are also scheduled for those race dates.
The June qualifier schedule remains unchanged. Qualifiers will be raced following each Saturday’s carded program. All races are subject to number of horses entered and track conditions.
