GE lights Dover win photo

GE’s Gilmour set a new lifetime record in one of the $13,800 features while Boo Bugg won another on the Saturday card at Dover Downs.

Tim Tetrick drove Bernard and Gary Ewing’s GE’s Gilmour to a new lifetime mark of 1:54.3 in the $13,800 Delaware 3-4-&-5-year-old pace. The Badlands Hanover gelding shook off a challenge from Fox Valley Slam It (Brandon Givens) on the backstretch and then held off NF Rivers Edge (Jim Morand), sitting second, to the finish line. Yetty (Kim Vincent) was third.

Boo Bugg came on to score a 1:53.4 victory, also a lifetime best, to win the other $13,800 section. Brad Hanners, who had two winners, steered the Grinfromeartoear gelding to his first win of the year for Lauren Allen and Foulk Stables. Take The Led (Bret Brittingham) had to settle for second in front of Im A Foolman Too (Jack Parker Jr.).

In a $20,000 male claiming pace Elaine, Mike Gabriel and Christine, Vince Boido’s YtwoK-Bug won for the third straight time as Tetrick guided the Falcon Seelster gelding home in 1:54.2. Mr. Socks (Givens) came at the winner on the outside from mid stretch until the finish line. Big League Barry (Corey Callahan) closed with a rush to finish third.

Tetrick also drove Cantwell Bridge Stable’s Lekrem Bluegrass to a 1:53 win in a $10,500 Male pace. Mega Hall (Hanners) closed strongly to finish second. Mr. Supercharger (Roger Plante) cut the mile and finished third in his first start of the year.

Darwin Kates’ Ragin Prospect, off at 8-1 with Sam Belote at the controls, overpowered seven rivals in an easy 5-length 1:58 victory in a $10,200 Delaware trot. Nikki’s Game (Jim King) won the second-place photo nipping BJ’s Brady (Hanners).

Dana Harrison’s Maid To Command, with Ross Wolfenden, held off Eagle Road (King) in a tight 2:00.2 finish in a $10,200 Delaware trot. Radar (Ron Hill) took show money.

A 14-1 shot, Brooklyn Hanover, owned by Three Point Acres, closed with a rush for Sean Bier to win the $17,500 male claiming allowance in 1:55.1. Up Front Hanover (Wolfenden) streaked to second in front of early leader Flying Spirit (Plante).

Just Like Sam, owned by Arty Foster Jr. and Debbie Rende, moved three wide coming for home and pulled away to a 1:54.2 success for Tetrick in a $15,000 Delaware male claiming pace. Hidden Riches N (Wolfenden) was second best with Cathys Memory (Hanners) third. (Dover)
