According to his bio, 38-year-old Hans Jurgen von Holdt is a blacksmith in Germany. His new vocation and venue might be catch-driver in New York after winning both divsions of Tuesday night's World Cup of Amateur Racing event at Yonkers Raceway, with the trotters Colonial Mansion (2:02.2) and Paradise Quikie (2:03.3). Colonial Mansion ($13) prevailed in the $6,000, first World Cup grouping, going up and over pace-setting O'Finbnegan (Teddy Wang, Denmark) before holding off Dan (Bjorn Stenseth, Norway) by 1 3/4 lengths. O'Finnegan was third, with Boom (All Loman, Czech Republic), Star Meadow (Tamas Kelemen, Hungary), Movie Maiden (Christian Mayr, Austria), Respectmyauthority (Fred Handelaar, Netherlands) and Sweet Night (Andreu Oliva-Suau, Spain) rounding out the order. Sweet Night was the 11-10 favorite. Paradise Quikie ($6.10) went right down the road in his $7,000 event, widening to defeat a hung-every-step Sundance Kid G (Wang) by 3 1/4 lengths. Norse Hall (Robert Mellsop, Australia) was third, with 1-2 wagering CS choice Homestead Branded (David Siegel, USA), Indian Hill Laser (Bjorn Stenseth), Don't Fence Me (Gavin Cook, New Zealand), Deep Seas (Antonio Valente, Canada) and Hettie's Hope (Handelaar) completing the finishers.
