Gerries Madison and driver Rick Zeron turned in another dominant effort in winning Monday night's second leg of the Silver Reign Pacing Series for 3-year-old fillies at Woodbine Racetrack. The win gives her the chance at a sweep and the opportunity to capture her second straight series title--the latest coming in the $45,200(C) Miss Vera Bars final on Feb. 14. The daughter of Apaches Fame-Peaceful Protest overcame the trailing post 11 Monday and used a grinding first-over approach in winning in 1:54.3 by almost three lengths. She returned $3.60 for the win and turned back longshots Speed Mcqueen and Future Camotion in the process. Trained by Clark Beelby, Gerries Madison is now four-for-five this season for owner Gerrie Tucker of Montreal, Qc. The victory in the lone $17,000(C) division vaulted her over the $100,000 mark in lifetime earnings. The final of the Silver Reign Pacing Series is scheduled to go next Monday night at Woodbine.
