Merrie Annabelle winner Gerri's Joy was a three-length winner in 1:56.4 in her 2007 qualifying debut Thursday morning at the Meadowlands. A winner of more than $394,000 last year at two, the 3-year-old daughter of Enjoy Lavec has a career mark of 1:56.2, set in her Breeders Crown elimination; she finished second in the $410,000 final. Ron Pierce was in the sulky for trainer Noel Daley.

Also winning a qualifier was Allstar Hall, the $270,000 yearling purchase in 2005 who is a Like A Prayer half brother to standout trotters Andover Hall, Angus Hall and Conway Hall. Trained by Anette Lorentzon, Allstar Hall was a 4 3/4-length winner in 1:56.1 for driver Brian Sears. It was his third qualifying effort of the year, following up a win and a second-place finish.

Leading sophomore colt trotting candidate Primary As romped home a nin-length winner in 1:57.3. The son of Malabar Man was driven by trainer Trond Smedshammer. Another top 3-year-old colt who scored a qualifying victory Thursday was Quite Easy, who crossed the wire in 1:54.4. Trained by Jimmy Takter, the son of Andover Hall is out of the dam Marita's Victory, who won the 2000 Hambletonian Oaks.

The Takter-trained Rune finished second behind Quite Easy, followed by Xactly Hanover and Monkey Bones.

Kentucky Sire Stakes champion and multiple stakes-winner Godiva Hall finished second in her qualifier, her second appearance of the year. The daughter of Like A Prayer won her first attempt in 2:00.4 over the five-eighths mile oval at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
