Get Out Of Dodge drew off to a 3-length victory in the first of two $38,900 New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for 3-year-old colt pacers on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.
With Yannick Gingras in the sulky, the son of Artiscape coasted wire to wire in 1:51.2 and paid $3.40 to win the night's second race. The pocketsitter Dear Mac held second, while Meant To Be Me rallied in :25.4 to finish third.
Get Out Of Dodge improved his record to seven wins in 10 career starts. He was a $30,000 yearling purchase at the Harrisburg Sale by Wayne Carleton, Dean Lockhart and Daniel Sarafian of Ontario. He was developed by Canadian trainer Murray Brethour and is racing under the care of Mark Harder at the Meadowlands.
In the second division, race six, Scape Ghost nipped Dontloseyoudayjob at the wire in 1:51.4. Driven by Dale Hiteman, Scape Ghost made a three-wide rally in the stretch to post his fourth victory in seven starts this season.
