The inside lane was again the route to victory as Ghee's House slipped up the inside and edged the pacesetting Artzina in 1:50.4 at the wire to capture the $350,900 Progress Pace Sunday night at Dover Downs.
The race got underway with Ghee's House, driven by Brian Sears, and Rusty's For Real battling for the lead and Artzina settled fourth at the rail by driver John Campbell. But as soon as the field hit the straightaway the first time Campbell made a quick move to take control.
By the time Artzina hit the halfway mark in :54.4 the second tier had developed, led by Sutter Hanover, with Artist's View second-over. Sears remained at hte pylons with Ghee's House.
Ghee's House is leased by The Cheyenne Gang and the son of Western Ideal was bred by one of the ownership group's members, Barry Rubenstein.
