Driver Yannick Gingras and trainer Ron Burke were presented with their first Meadowlands meet titles on Friday night (Aug. 17) as the track concluded its 2012 racing season. Burke Racing also won the owner's race. Dave Palone earned a $10,000 check as the points leader in the first round of the Vernon Downs/Meadowlands Drivers' Championship. He holds the advantage heading into round two at Vernon Downs on Sunday, Aug. 26. Palone won the first race of the round at the Meadowlands and then picked up third-place finishes in three other races. Gingras and Pierce also each won a race.
