Rob Roy Mattgregor went from last to first to capture a $35,000 conditioned pace in 1:50.4 Friday night at the Meadowlands.

While some hot-and-heavy action on the front end led to fractions of :26.3, :53.4 and 1:22, driver Yannick Gingras watched from last in the eight-horse field. Following cover and then moving four wide in the stretch, Rob Roy Mattgregor was able to put his nose in front at the wire to edge Armbro Acquire (Eric Ledford) with Casimir Camotion (Pat Lachance) third.

A 5-year-old son of Matt's Scooter, Rob Roy Mattgregor is owned by Darby's Edge Stable and Joseph DiScala. A winner of more than $278,000, Rob Roy Mattgregor is trained by Mickey Burke.

Gingras also won the featured $35,000 conditioned pace for fillies and mares with Stonebridge Kisses. The 5-year-old daughter of Artiscape took the lead just past the half to win by three lengths over runner-up Nells Bells (Ron Pierce) in 1:53.1. Follow Your Bliss (Brian Sears) was third.

The win was the 11th of the year for Stonebridge Kisses, who is trained by Mark Ford for owner Martin Scharf. With earnings of more than $374,000 this year, Stonebridge Kisses has a career bankroll of more than $529,000.
