Go On BB scored her seventh straight victory in the $22,500 second leg of the Blossom Series on Thursday night at the Meadowlands. Guided by Yannick Gingras, she stamped herself as the one to beat in next week’s $62,000 final for 3-year-old pacing fillies with a career-best 1:53.3 effort.
The Isle Of Pan was a length behind in second, while Weekie Wachie closed stoutly for third.
Trained by Mickey Burke and owned by Frank Baldachino of Clarksburg, N.J., Go On BB improved her career slate to eight wins, two seconds and one third in 11 starts. The daughter of Dontgetinmyway now has earnings of $97,000.
Earlier in the evening, Crawdad breezed to a 1:50.2 win in the $19,000 second leg of the Fox Sports Net Series, which was contested as a non-wagering event prior to the racing card. Andy Miller steered Crawdad to his fourth straight win at the Meadowlands for trainer Erv Miller and the Red Barn Stable.
The toast of Morrison, Ill., will try to complete the series sweep in next week’s $43,000 Fox Sports Net final. He already has the $121,300 Four Leaf Clover to his credit this season. (Meadowlands)
