Giwner's Harness Eye picks hot; $30 winner Thursday

After a five-win night on Wednesday and a pair of longshot winners on Thursday at the Meadowlands, Harness Eye editor Derick Giwner is off to a strong start this week and he is confident his good fortune at the Big M will continue through the weekend. Giwner’s picks are available by clicking the Harness Eye icon located midway down the home page of harnessracing.com.

Along with having five winners on top on Wednesday, Giwner also had four ice-cold exactas, which returned $24.20, $19.40, $18.60 and $15.40. Those are nice prices, but they paled in comparison to Giwner’s haul on Thursday. In the third race at the Meadowlands, the $27.60-winner Local Lawmaker was on his “Horses to Watch” list, with his top three landing in an exacta box that returned $165.60 and a trifecta box that paid a walloping $1,546.60. And if that wasn’t enough, Giwner’s top pick in the fifth race, Casimir Camotion, returned a win price of $30.

We all know how tough those weekend races at the Big M are to handicap, and although track handicapper Dave Brower has his selections available on the Meadowlands website, the keen handicapping “eye” of Harness Eye’s Giwner gives even more help to a bettor—whether a novice or an experienced player. Any extra insight that could result in a profit at the windows—how can you turn that down? Especially when it costs nothing.

So scroll down the home page of harnessracing.com, click on Harness Eye, and read Giwner’s take on the weekend races at the Meadowlands.
