Godiva Hall and Jimmy Marohn Jr. established a new world record on Saturday night at Tioga Downs in the second leg of the Miss Versatility trotting series. The mile of 1:53.3 erased the previous world record held by Windylane Hanover (Ron Pierce) of 1:53.4 for a 4-year old trotting mare on a five-eights mile track.
The duo left from post position six and cut through fractions of :27.2, :55.3, and 1:24.1 before trotting home in :29.2 a length and three quarters ahead of Buck I St Pat and Howard Parker in second, while Bruschette and Jan Johnson got up for third.
The mile also established a new lifetime mark for the 4-year old daughter of Like A Prayer, who is trained by Trond Smedshammer for owner Irving G. Liverman of
