September 07, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Godiva Hall was moved to the front by driver Dave Palone at the quarter and cruised the rest of the way en route to a career-best 1:57.4 victory in the $50,000 third leg of Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2-year-old filly trotters at The Red Mile Thursday night.

The win was the second in a row for the daughter of Like A Prayer. Charmaine As (Peter Wallinder) finished about two lengths back in second with Likeavirgin Lindy (Brendan Johnson) third.

Bred by Walnut Hall Ltd., Godiva Hall is owned by Gene and Stephen Oldford in partnership with the North South Partners of Atlanta, Ga., who recently purchased a half-interest. North South consists of Eric Cherry's Let It Ride Stable, Frank Cannon, Jeff Langfelder and Angie Stiller.
