The beat goes on for the red-hot Go Go Red Marty who captured his fourth straight victory with a dominant 1:56.3 tally in Thursday’s second leg of the Tie Silk Trotting Series for three-year-olds at Woodbine Racetrack.

The victory also poised the chestnut gelded son of Striking Sahbra -Clarice Marie for a possible series sweep.

Handled confidently by driver Mike Saftic in the first $20,000 contest,Go Go Red Marty got away second in the early stages before moving to the front in the second quarter and then pulling away from rivals in the stretch with a :27.1 final quarter. Lorenzo Dream finished a following second with Beer League rounding out the top three.

Go Go Red Marty is now undefeated in four starts this season for trainer Kent Baker who co-owns along with Cal Patterson and Randy Fielder of Ontario. He returned a paltry $2.30 as the prohibitive top choice while increasing his seasonal bankroll to just over $38,000.

Whit Ken Win, making his Woodbine debut, wired the field for diver Mario Baillargeon in the second split to post an upset victory in 1:57.2. The gelded son of Ken Warkentin - Win By Chin turned back Jeffie T with Toocloseforcomfort rounding out the top three.

The Kawartha Downs invader, owned and trained by Ronda Markle of Cobourg, Ontario, was winning for the first time in three outings this season after posting two wins last season as a rookie. He kicked back a generous $60.20 to win while triggering a triactor worth $1,186.20.

The $60,000 Tie Silk Trotting Series final will go postward next Thursday night at Woodbine.(WEG)
