Driver Eric Goodell owned the oval Wednesday night at Yonkers Raceway, winning with six of his eight drives--four at double-digit prices--on the 10-race program. After sitting out the daily double, Goodell wasted no time getting his picture taken, winning the $4,000, third-race pace with 20-1 upsetter Illinois Belle ($43). Goodell made it consecutive victories, guiding the veteran Respectmyauthority ($4.70) to an off-the-pace win in the $7,500, fourth-race trot. O'Lady Be Good was good to Goodell in the $5,000, fifth-race pace, rallying from last at the quarter mile to win going away for a $32.40 mutuel ticket. Goodell finished up the track (sixth and seventh) in the sixth and seventh races before earning his second hat trick the same night the Ducks won their first-ever Stanley Cup. Lady Cape ($17.40) rolled to victory in the $7,500, eighth-race pace, Petey's Tweety ($37.40) was up in time in the featured $11,000, ninth-race pace and Allamerican Quiver ($9.90, $148 late double) edged by in the $8,500 pacing finale.
