While the sport's top performers were in action at Woodbine, the fast 3-year-old trotting colt Googoo Gaagaa had a lazy night at Rosecroft Raceway. Competing in a $3,200 Maryland Sires Stakes race, he won by 23 lengths in 1:58.1 with Jim Morand driving. Corey Callahan, who usually drives Googoo Gaagaa for trainer-owner Richard Hans, was at Woodbine instead.
Googoo Gaagaa won this year's Colonial Trot at Harrah's Philadelphia, beating Hambletonian champion Market Share. He was supplemented to the Yonkers Trot but broke stride in the race. He was not eligible to the Hambo, the Kentucky Futurity or the Breeders Crown.
