Go On BB won in her return from New York, taking the last leg of the Genesis Series Friday, June 8. With Hoosier Park’s leading driver Ricky Macomber Jr. in the sulky, the duo went on their merry way en route to a two and three-quarter length victory. The time of the mile was 1:53.0, courtesy of a grand final panel by the three-year-old in :26.4. “She (Go On BB) is really on top of her game right now,” said Macomber Jr. “I knew everyone was going and try to get a spot behind us if we took the lead. It seemed like there were a couple that really wanted the front before the first quarter.” Wasting no time Go On BB shot right for the front from post position eight, settling in third around the first turn. Reaching the opening quarter first in :26.2 was Martha’s Revenge and driver Bill Dailey. Go On BB came from third down the backstretch, going first-over to capture the lead. She cut remaining fractions in :57.2 and 1:26.1. “There was a big head wind as we were going down the backstretch,” said Macomber Jr. “The fractions showed a slow half, but I felt like we were going pretty good. She (Go On BB) just really responded well for me coming home.” The race was over in the stretch. Pulling away to a six-length lead at the top of the lane, Go On BB showed her class, strolling away to victory. Parking Place and driver Don Eash rallied to finish second. Roknrol Bluegrass and driver Walter Haynes Jr. finished third. Go On BB returned $2.80 and $2.10 for the victory. There was no show wagering offered in the Genesis feature. Go On BB returned to Central Indiana this week, coming off of a fourth place finish in the $242,620 Lismore at Yonkers Raceway last Saturday. She is an astounding seven for eight in 2007. Go On BB is a daughter of Indiana-sired horse Dontgetinmyway. Frank Baldachino of Clarksburg, NJ owns the bay filly. Mickey Burke trains Go On BB. The $40,000 Genesis Series final is slated for Saturday, June 23. “She (Go On BB) has put in a lot of traveling miles in the last two weeks,” said Macomber Jr. “All of the connections did a great job getting her shipped to race in New York and then bringing her back here.” (Hoosier Park release)
