Despite a sloppy track, Go On BB looked sharp Friday evening en route to a 1:55.2 victory in a $14,000 filly and mare open handicap at Indiana Downs. The sophomore filly pacer, stepping up into open company for the first time, defeated a field of seven by five lengths for driver Ricky Macomber Jr. Owned by Frank Baldachino, Go On BB had made only one start since finishing second in the $100,000 Indiana Sires Stakes final June 30 at Hoosier Park. The Dontgetinmyway three year old skipped the first leg of ISS action at Indiana Downs before winning her division in the second round of competition by five and one-quarter lengths. The third round is slated for August 4. Settling in fourth early after starting from post two, Macomber tipped Go On BB and moved to the front after the opening quarter (:29.1). The 6/5 favorite clicked off fractions of :58.2 and 1:27.3 before cruising home in :27.4. Forwhichitstands and Mark O’Mara finished second and Marks-Mindy, driven by Joe Putnam, rounded out the trifecta. A winner in 11 of 13 starts this season, Go On BB has earned nearly $158,000. Her career bankroll now exceeds $230,000. She is trained by Mickey Burke.
