Gota Go Bullville wins Babic

Gota Go Bullville charged through the passing lane to score a 1:56.2 victory in the $125,707 Lou Babic Memorial Pace for New Jersey-sired two-year-old pacing colts and geldings Saturday at Freehold Raceway.

The freshman pacing colt, sired by Matt's Scooter, won by three-quarters of a length over the pace-setting Moneybackguarantee (Red River Hanover).Finishing third was Rockin Ray (Rocknroll Hanover).

Jason Bartlett piloted Gota Go Bullville to her fourth win in 10 starts this year.  She has also been second four times he victory boosted her purse earnings to $118,560 with the winner's share of the purse for trainer Stephen Crevani and his wife Carole, the co-owners and breeders.

The Freehold race program featured other New Jersey-sired pacers, as Rockaroundthetrack (Rocknroll Hanover) won the $71,500 Babic Memorial Filly Pace in 1:58 for two-year-old fillies and U Foria BB (Life Sign) won the $35,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres Division Final for three-year-old distaffers.

With Andy Miller driving, Rockaroundthetrack took the lead just past the first quarter-mile mark and held off a challenge from JK Sure I Can,another daughter of Rocknroll Hanover, to win the Babic Memorial filly companion race by a head at the wire.Lady Ann Christine (Artsplace) finished third.

The Babic Memorials are named for the late Louis Babic, a co-founder of the N. J. Sire Stakes Program, sponsor of the races.

In a nose-to-nose duel from the three-quarter pole, U Foria BB got by Darling Angel (Artsplace) in the stretch to win by three-quarters of a length in the NJSS Green Acres Final for sophomore filly pacers. Annie Mac (Mcardle) finished third.(NJSS)
