Grand Photo, Jessie Hall and Passito won the top three feature trots Wednesday at Dover Downs, while Juanita, Commando Queen and Early Shirley were Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) second leg three-year-old filly trot winners and Dover Dolly, Cosmo Madness and Maddie G came away victorious in filly pace divisions. Tim Tetrick drove five winners during the card.

On the regular card, Grand Photo closed between horses to score a 1:55.3 triumph in the $25,000 Winners-Over trot. Bob Shahan trains and drives the SJ’s Photo gelding for Cindy Issel, Jeff and Jewell Marsh. Broke As Usual and Ross Wolfenden were a close-up second. Sweet Daddy Siki went a big trip for Tony Morgan and finished third.

The photo finish camera had to decide the outcome of the $22,000 Mares Handicap. The two outside horses were separated by a nose with Jessie Hall and Tony Morgan making the winner’s circle with a 1:56.3 victory. Go Sassy Go and George Dennis had to settle for second money. Vicki Gram finished third for Art Stafford Jr.

Tim Tetrick rushed Tom Fanning-conditioned Passito into the lead at the three quarters on the way to a 156-lifetime record for Joe Rybak and Bill Seplowe in a $16,500 conditioned trot. DI Blast (Vic Kirby) finished second with Twin B Tween (Tony Morgan) the show finisher.

Elmer Fannin’s Philosopher King eked out a 1:52.2 win with Tony Morgan in a $30,000 Claiming pace. Art’s Sake (Jonathan Roberts) was a neck back in second with Rockem N (Corey Callahan) third.

There were six DSBF filly prelims. Cosmo Madness proved the best in her DSBF pace as Corey Callahan drove the Three Olives Filly to her fifth win of the year in seven starts scoring an easy 1:53.4 victory. Emma and trainer Deweese Butler own the winner. Snatch The Fortune finished second with Tim Tetrick driving. GB’s Li’l Princess and Jim Morand collected third-place money.

Maddie G pulled a mild surprise in her $20,000 prelim. Tim Tetrick quick stepped past odds-on favorite Sheisaknockout and Jim Morand on the backstretch and pulled away for a 1:53.3 score. Sheisaknockout was safely second in front of Badlands Power and Art Stafford Jr. Roll The Dice Stable owns the first-time winning Badlands Hanover filly winner, one of five wins for driver Tetrick and a double for the owner and trainer Joe Holloway.

In the three trotting prelims, Juanita continued her unblemished record in DSBF events rolling to a 2:01.3 victory in her division. The CR Commando daughter is owned by Nanticoke Racing and driver Jim Morand. Kisses On Command was second for Roger Plante. Political Monica took third with trainer-driver Eddie Dennis.

Vic Kirby piloted Commando Queen to the fastest DSBF trot, a 1:59.3 win for Fisher, Outten, Green Racing and Patchel Family Stable. Koala Kat and Ross Wolfenden and Basic Encounter with Eddie Dennis were second and third respectively.

In a non-wagering DSBF trot, Early Shirley, with Cliff Green driving, built up a big lead early and breezed to a 2:04 victory for Chris Yochim and trainer Daryl Glazer. Doctors Commando finished second with Art Stafford Jr. driving. Super Speedway handled by Tim Curtin was third. (Dover Downs)
