Great George Two scores

Great George Two rallied four-wide in the stretch and drew off to 1 3/4-length, 1:53.4 victory over Self Professed [in the $50,000 second-round of the Su Mac Lad Series Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands. The finish reversed their meeting last fall at The Red Mile, when Self Professed won a Bluegrass division.



Great George Two was driven by Jonathan Roberts, the son of trainer Bib Roberts.



The $126,500 Su Mac Lad Final is on Sunday, April 9.



Great George Two, making only his second start of the season, now has a win and a second for 2006 and 12 wins, six seconds and two thirds in 25 career starts. The Dexter Cup runner-up at Freehold and winner of the Zweig Trot at Syracuse, he spent most of his 3-year-old campaign finishing second or third behind Classic Photo and Vivid Photo.



The 4-year-old Great George Two has now banked $421,944 for the ownership of Graham Grace Stables LLC [Adam Ainspan and Mary Beth Roberts] of Vienna, Virginia; M&W Stables LLC [Thomas Lander] of Burlington, North Carolina and trainer Bib Roberts of Brandywine, Maryland.
