Hambletonian field set

Return Home
August 02, 2005 | Print View

It will be easy to take a "photo" of the two Hambletonian elimination winners as they line up behind the gate for Saturday's $1.5 million final at the Meadowlands as Classic Photo drew post five and Vivid Photo drew post six. This is the 80th Hambletonian and the 25th renewal at the Meadowlands.

Classic Photo has been made the 6-5 morning-line choice with Vivid Photo second choice at 7-2. Classic Photo will try and become the first Hambo favorite to win the trotting classic since Scarlet Knight won the 2001 edition at odds of 3-5.

"I like the post position. Mid-pack is a good spot to start for him," said Erv Miller, the trainer of Hambo favorite Classic Photo. "I've had a lot more favorites win than 10-1 shots."
