According to sources, horseman Roger Hammer began experiencing pain last evening. After initially refusing treatment at the scene of an accident while transporting his horses in Pennsylvania, he later went to his local hospital after experiencing pain. It was then discovered that he has neck injuries.
As of noon Thursday, he remained hospitalized but was expecting to be released later in the day. Passenger Vickie Mock was treated and released yesterday with broken ribs.
Only one horse out of six in his trailer suffered a minor cut. All others were uninjured. (Pennsylvania Fair Harness Horsemen's Association)
