March 30, 2010 Send To A Friend  | Print View

The National Harness Handicapping Championship, harness racing's only tournament to feature $50,000 in prize money, will bring together the nation's top handicappers on Saturday, April 24, at Meadowlands Racetrack.

Players who have not qualified through a satellite tournament may buy directly into the NHHC Final for $800 [$400 entry fee/$400 tournament bankroll]. The NHHC entry fee includes a cocktail reception in the Clubhouse Suites on Friday, April 23 and a dinner buffet and gift bag on Saturday, April 24.

The NHHC contest format requires players to bet 10 races: their choice of eight Meadowlands races, plus two designated mandatory races from partner tracks. Players keep all pari-mutuel winnings. Prize payouts are to the Top 10, with first place secured at $20,000. Awards will be adjusted higher if there are more than 125 entries.

Registration deadline is 10 p.m., Thursday, April 22. To register by credit card, call 201-460-4050. For the contest entry form and complete rules, go to: http://www.meadowlandsracetrack.com/event_detail.aspx?id=1791

In addition to the Meadowlands, partners in the 2010 NHHC include: Balmoral Park, Buffalo Raceway, Harrington Raceway, Hawthorne Racecourse, Maywood Park, The Meadows, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Penn National OTW, Rosecroft, TVG, Tioga/Vernon Downs, Western Regional OTB, Woodbine/Mohawk and Youbet.
