Veteran driver Brad Hanners, a winner of 3,641 races during his career, will make his Pompano Park debut on Wednesday when getting behind the 4-year-old pacer Yankee Raven for trainer Terry Deters in the evening’s fourth race. A native of the Hanners, who began his career in harness racing at Scioto Downs in 1985, competed in his first qualifying race in 1987 and made his pari-mutuel driving debut in 1989, visiting the winner’s circle once in 18 starts that year. Throughout his career, Hanners-driven horses have accumulated $27,534,782 in purse money. His most lucrative season came in 2005 when he visited the winner’s circle 478 times, with over $4.7 million in purse money earned.
