The North American Harness Racing Secretaries held their annual meetings in Deerfield Beach, Fla., from Nov. 30-Dec. 2. President Connie Hochstetler opened the meetings each morning and very successful stakes scheduling sessions followed. She was also re-elected president of the organization.
The Racing Secretaries also participated in the USTA rules seminar, presided over by Ken Marshall of Hazel Park Raceway.
The results of these meetings will assist in finishing out the upcoming 2013 harness racing stakes schedule. Also, Grand Circuit president John Campbell made a presentation during Thursday morning's session regarding the Grand Circuit races, conflicts and the overall promotion of the sport. Ian Fleming of Western Fair/Clinton Raceways in Canada will be the Vice-President for 2013. (North American Harness Racing Secretaries)
