CR Dream Catcher ($15.40) kicked off cover at the head of the stretch and drew away from the field in the final strides to take the opening night feature at Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack, a $22,000 conditioned trot, in 1:56. The 8-year-old Royal Troubadour gelding angled third-over after a bit of a slow beginning, moving three wide in the far turn behind Rapid Strategy (Yannick Gingras) as the leaders, Armbro Aristocrat (Eric Goodell) and Good Feeling (Ron Pierce), began to tire. At the top of the stretch, Tim Tetrick angled CR Dream Catcher off the back of Rapid Strategy, taking the lead at mid-stretch and opening up late. Classic Lane (David Miller) closed in the open stretch to take second, and Rapid Strategy held third. Goodell led all drivers with three wins, and Tetrick and Brandon Givens each recorded a driving double. (Chester)
