Harrah's Chester nominations due

Nominations for the 2008 Early Closers at Harrah’s Chester Casino & Racetrack are due on Friday, February 15. The nomination, accompanied by the nominating fee must be postmarked by Feb. 15. Nomination forms are available at www.harrahs.com/chester/racing and any questions regarding the events may be directed to the Harrah’s Chester racing office at (484) 490-2222.

The first of the early closers begins on Sunday, April 20 with the eliminations for the Betsy Ross FFA Mare Pace. The $250,000G final goes one week later on April 27. The Maxie Lee Memorial, going for $250,000G, on May 25 will be a FFA event for trotters. The following month FFA pacers battle it out in the $500,000G Ben Franklin on June 15. The $50,000G eliminations will be held on June 8.
 
On Aug. 17, Harrah’s Chester will present its first Super Stakes Sunday that will feature the $500,000G Battle of the Brandywine 3-Year-Old Open Pace, $500,000G Colonial 3-Year-Old Open Trot and the $350,000G Valley Forge 3-Year-Old Filly Pace. Both the Battle and the Colonial will also have a $200,000G and $100,000G consolation. The Valley Forge will offer a $150,000G and $75,000G consolation. (Harrah’s Chester Publicity Department)
