Some harness racing advocates in New Jersey are calling for horsemen to do everything they can to support the Meadowlands entry box, which in turn will spur handle and show that the state's harness racing industry is not expendable, as this week's recommendations by the Hanson commission suggests.
In case you need a reminder, the Meadowlands entry box has the following deadlines for next week:
Wednesday, July 28 card--declare by 4 pm Friday; Thursday, July 29 card--declare by 4 pm Saturday;
Friday, July 30 card--declare by 9 am Tuesday (including Hambletonian and Oaks elims, which will be raced Saturday, July 31)
